Welcome to My Journey

My name is Hasan Tayem. I am a Jordanian blind human rights advocate, traveller, and athlete. I believe that disability should not be regarded as a barrier but as an invitation to engage with society in creative and transformative ways. My personal journey began in Jordan, progressed in Padova, Italy, and has extended across continents, marathons, and international conferences.

Through advocacy, inclusive tech, and sport, I have worked to transform obstacles into opportunities not just for myself, but for every community I serve. Whether I am speaking at a global forum or running through the streets across the globe, I carry the belief that dignity and access should be universal.

Every step I take in silence or in the spotlight is a step for inclusion. I have learned that we rise not when things are easy, but when we keep going anyway. That is what drives me and that is what this platform stands for.

Back in 2019, I participated in the Amman Peace Talks, where I shared my story as a passionate volunteer and accomplished blind runner from Jordan. During the event, I highlighted how my volunteer work sheds light on the challenges faced by visually impaired individuals in Jordan.

Connecting Communities Through Advocacy and Action

From human rights gatherings to international athletic competitions, I build bridges between worlds. Courage, innovation, and commitment drive me to connect people and ideas across borders.

Current and Future Sport Projects

I am committed to transforming bold dreams into real achievements. My work includes training for the Paralympics, preparing to cycle from Padova to Jordan, climbing new heights, and running marathons across continents. Each project represents a personal mission to demonstrate what is possible when determination and inclusion come together.

LA 2028 Paralympic Games

I am working hard to represent blind athletes and advocate for accessibility on the world's biggest stage. Right now, I am focused on training for the 1,500 metres event, putting in the daily effort it takes to make this dream a reality.

This mission pushes the boundaries of what blind athletes can achieve. It is a bold statement of resilience, courage, and the power of the human spirit.

World Marathon Challenge

Seven marathons, seven continents, seven days, a global inclusion mission. Through each race, I aim to show that disability is not a barrier to extraordinary achievements.

I will cycle from Padova to Jordan on a tandem bike with my guide Maurizio. This journey is about trust, inclusion, and connection, proving that with support and determination, we can overcome challenges and unite cultures across continents.

Global Travels and Accessibility

As a world traveller, I have had the privilege of exploring over 40 countries and villages across Asia and the Middle East, Europe, and North America, not only for work, but also for the joy of discovery.

My journeys take me beyond capital cities, right into the heart of diverse communities. From Rimbao, Malaysia to Chicago, I have connected with people, tasted local cuisines, and experienced the beauty of cultural difference.

I travel with purpose, exploring how different societies support or challenge accessibility and inclusion. Every step I take is part of a wider mission: to advocate for a world where accessibility is not an afterthought, but a shared commitment.
